Lotus - Dark Agave Nectar 250ml

Lotus Organic Dark Agave is a sugar alternative that comes from the agave plant. Dark agave is less filtered than light agave and has more of a molasses or honey flavour. Use as a replacement to sugar, honey or maple syrup.

Our Agave Nectar comes from Mexico where it is extracted from agave plants. Made in a similar way to maple syrup the sap is first squeezed out then filtered and concentrated to a syrupy liquid.

Lotus Dark Agave Nectar is a suitable vegan alternative to honey. It can also be used like dark corn syrup, high fructose syrup, rice malt or maple syrup. Agave is about 1 1/2 times sweeter in taste than sugar, so you can use less and achieve the same sweetness in your baking and cooking. It is certified organic, gluten free, and suitable for vegan.
